Employers
in the television industry are looking for applicants with talent,
skill and experience. Many journalism programs attempt to polish
students' talents and skills, but where do you gain the experience
that will help you succeed in your career?
Hall School
of Journalism and Communication students gain practical experience
working on Troy University's award-winning TrojanVision
TV station. Programming on this station is seen on more
than a dozen cable systems in Alabama and Georgia.
Some universities
restrict access to their TV operations to seniors or to a select
number of advanced students. Not Troy! All Hall School students
may volunteer at TrojanVision TV. You may see a freshman anchoring
the news, a junior on sports and a senior working the weather
board. The student news crews also have fun while gaining the
practical experience that will help in the job market.
By the
way, Troy University's Hall School of Journalism and Communication
is known for bringing out and polishing hidden talents while
building the skills needed for successful careers in journalism.
