About Dr. Cochran

 
   
 



Dr. Maryjo Cochran is dean of Troy University's College of Communications and Fine Arts and teaches in the Hall School of Journalism.

Dr. Cochran earned her Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Michigan and her BFA from Southern Methodist University.

Dr. Cochran's research interests include Television and the Family, The Influence of Television Violence in Society and Television Soap Operas.

Prior to joining Troy University, Dr. Cochran taught at Sam Houston State University.
